Calendar - Event View

B-, Ice Cream Ride, 40 miles

This is a club event to encourage riding with folks you don't normally ride with.  To try to help with this, we'll see who shows up and either all start together or break it into groups but not by by how fast you can ride.  Put on your "hanging out thinking" and be together, have a conversation.  Take photos.  Ask questions and enjoy the company and ice cream.  

Named as the best ride in PA by Bicycle Magazine, we'll plan on stops to sample Ice cream at:

• Bird In Hand Bakeshop ( mile 8)
• Oregon Dairy (opens at 10:00, thus the 8:30 am start, mile 24)
• Lapp Valley Farm (end)

PARKING AND START LOCATION: Park at the Summit View Brethren Church (846 Peters Road New Holland, PA 17557) just a mile away from Lapp Valley Farm. There is plenty of parking at the church for everyone so you don't even have to carpool (but of course you should :-)

Also, there are bathrooms at Lapps but it will be a good idea for you to just stop somewhere in Gap in the morning to use a restroom. There are lots of options. In addition, don't worry because the first ice cream stop is at mile 8! Don't eat too much breakfast! (Please hydrate though!)
