WCCC FIRST ALL-CLUB REMOTE WEEKEND RIDE

All club Gravel ride Weekend in Loudoun County 5/31-6/2

Loudoun County Va. is a magical place only 3 hours from West Chester.... Imagine Chester County but the majority of the roads are unpaved, with little to no traffic. Large equestrian farms are the foundation of the landscape with tree lined gravel roads.

This all-club weekend will have guided rides for all levels (C, B-, B, A).

Each of the start locations will have post-ride lunch spots including one good ol’ southern BBQ.

There will be all-club dinner spots pre-planned for riders and non-riding family members.
Much to do off the bike, lots of boutiques, hiking, wineries, coffee shops, breweries and even a distillery.

https://www.visitloudoun.org/. We are leaving accommodation decisions to each rider as there are no large hotel chains in the western part of the county where the extensive gravel road network is. Instead, there are plenty of (Air)BnBs, camping, and other lodging options available to book (see details below).

Rides and rough Itinerary

Ride start locations:

We will be starting rides from two locations - They are about half hr. drive from each other:

Purcellville & Middleburg. These are the two larger towns that essentially sit at the northern and southern edges of the hundreds of miles of gravel roads nestled in the western part of Loudoun County.

Where to stay:
Middleburg, Purcellville, Leesburg are your best bet. Leesburg is closer to the county’s east/west dividing line and while you’ll have to drive a bit further to reach the rides on Saturday and Sunday, you’ll find many more conveniences and accommodations in and around Leesburg. Middleburg & Purcellville are quaint historical towns.

Hotels

Leesburg- Home2 Suite, Hampton Inn, Homewood suites
