Rainout on Saturday, cool and a bit breezy on Sunday, so, we‘re doing a recovery-oriented route. Note the 8:30AM start time and B pace. Work together to stay together.
Challenging B Ride of 35 miles with about 3100‘ of climbing (give or take). Please read the full description and text me with any questions.
A relatively mellow circular route. As always, everyone‘s job to keep the group together to stay safe, make it easier for cars to pass, and minimize regrouping. We’ll likely come in at the mid to upper range of the pace but we‘ll always keep everyone together and having fun as a priority. Bad jokes are welcome. Ride leaves from Stroud at 8:45. I leave remotely so don‘t worry if I‘m not there earlier than 8:45. No bathrooms at Stroud. XO
Expect speed around 14.5, faster on flats, slower up hills. The goal is to enjoy a safe ride, stay together, share in pulling, find the right pace for the group. Climb/descend hills at your own speed, re-group as needed. No pirates, please, if you want a faster pace this ride is not for you. Rain, wet roads or high winds will cancel ride - posted by 7:30am.
Expected to be a little colder and windier than I‘d prefer, but an acceptable early spring riding day. Keeping the route short again due to the weather.
Meet at La Baguette Magique, Weekly Wednesday Fun Ride
Dorlan Mill trail head parking, intersection of Rt 282 and Dorlan Mill Rd, Downingtown.
Remote start (Downingtown) 9am. Ride to September Farm for coffee. 37M 1500climbing
SuperC is for experienced group riders who bring the cue/gps, call out turns & hazards and stay as a group. Speed as start of season 12mph +/-. NO PIRATES.
Following modified Hillsdale departure route at an upper B/lower B+ pace. Focus on riding safely and cohesively as a group while evenly sharing the workload. Rain will cancel the ride.
This will be a B+ ride to Jennersville, into the wind initially, with a rest stop at CVS. We will cross 41 at Derry Meeting Rd. and avoid roundabout construction at 926. The west wind should be favorable on our return. We‘ll focus on riding safely by working together, calling things out and being predictable.
51 miles out to Springdell and Kennett with some twists
Looking for just a bit more mileage than usual as the weather will be reasonable. Look for relatively low wind and temps between 40 and 50. Note the start time and B pace. Work together to stay together.
Another route with only 2000‘ of elevation! Going South with a stop at mile 20, the Conoco station in Kennett Square. The speed for B+ is 15-17. I will be quite happy if we come in at 15.1. No rush today. Let‘s just work off the rust from Winter.
Ride as a group to share the work. Please make sure your bike is in good safe working condition. Doing Sunday Recovery route in reverse, with a couple of deviations, soley to go down Cosart before bridge closure.
